Sit Means Sit Orlando was born out of personal experience, deep passion, and one unforgettable dog named Kilo.
In 2011, Matt and Jamie Smith were facing a challenge many dog owners know all too well — their beloved dog Kilo was struggling with serious behavioral issues, including aggression. Desperate for help and determined not to give up on him, they discovered the Sit Means Sit training system. What followed was nothing short of life-changing.
Through structure, consistency, and a powerful bond built on trust, Kilo transformed. And in that journey, so did Matt and Jamie. Inspired by their own success, they opened Sit Means Sit Orlando, driven by the mission to help other families overcome challenges and discover the best in their dogs — just like they did.
Since opening in 2011, Sit Means Sit Orlando has trained over 10,000 dogs, helping more than 800 owners each year create stronger, more joyful relationships with their pets. This community of empowered owners and balanced, happy dogs has become lovingly known as KiloNation — a movement rooted in the belief that every dog deserves a chance to live a happy, confident, and obedient lifestyle.
